The Company

An industry leader in their field, heavily involved within the manufacturing and distribution industry, our client, with circa 250 employees, is now on the lookout for a commercially minded, driven IT Manager to safeguard and develop the security, efficiency and performance of IT systems.


The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the IT Manager will have 12 reports spanning the web development, ERP and infrastructure space. The major focus of this role will be change and project management across various IT projects spanning the organisation. You will be heavily involved in multiple integration projects including web order portals and e-commerce systems as well as a MS Dynamics upgrade and an infrastructure refresh. From an infrastructure perspective, you will be hands-on, in order to obtain a good understanding of the projects.

This role will sit within the management team so you will be engaging with a wider business audience and develop relationships between divisions.

From a BAU perspective you will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring a high level of performance of the data network, ERP systems, online systems along with IT hardware and software
  • Managing the security of the network/systems
  • Oversee backups and data cleansing practices


Your Profile

You will be a commercially minded, driven IT Manager with excellent communication skills. You will need demonstrable experience of managing IT and integration projects and, ideally, have a strong MS infrastructure background in order to assist infrastructure solution design. Subsequently, you will be very strong across MS Dynamics AX, Azure, along with VMware.

With a hybrid MS and Linux model and both Waterfall and Agile methodologies utilised, you will be adaptable and have a broad range of technical skills.

Finally you will have experience of strategic planning, developing IT road maps and managing teams, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution industry.
