Position Description   
Position Title: Mulesoft Integration Developer
Location: Melbourne
Duration: Full Time
Salary: $130,000 - 150,000 + Super
 
 
  • The integration developer will be involved in understanding the functional requirements to develop technical integration requirements and implement services/integration using Mulesoft and related platforms.
  • The Integration Developer works with all functions to design and build Business APIs in order to build strategic outcomes for business and technology stakeholders.
In addition to this have working experience in an Agile process and understanding of the Mulesoft architecture.
  • The developer will drive the adoption of standards, best practices and guidelines with respect to Mulesoft and API development.
  • The integration developer will be tasked with coaching and mentoring members of the team.
  1. Plan, develop and implement ICT systems to enable the business to effectively meet business requirements
  • Plan, develop and deliver ICT system projects and implementation in accordance with ICT process, procedure and architecture requirements
  • Carry out technical build and development using Mule ESB
  • Analyse business requirements, interpret these in to ICT system requirements and ensure final deliverable performs as required
  • Communicate and work with the business to tailor development and implementation of integrated systems solutions with careful consideration of customer experience
  • Conduct proof of concept pilot projects, estimates and evaluation of proposed ICT solutions
  • Manage ICT implementations from initial installation to maintenance and further custom design to meet evolving business requirements
  • Facilitate and/or participate in workshops, project meetings and meetings with business partners and stakeholders as required
  • Work with external consultants to meet project goals as required
  • Contribute to overall team goals through ongoing support for other analysts and consultants in delivering ICT services as required
  • Adhere to operational and work register procedures to ensure all ICT responsibilities are delivered within set deadlines and to agreed standards
  • Develop and deliver training, demonstrations and presentations to business partners and users as required
  • Manage related project activities in line with strategic objectives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and corporate application systems products
  1. Maintain and deliver ICT systems to enable the business to meet requirements
  • Maintain work register and release schedule in order to provide system administration and maintenance for ICT systems in accordance with ICT and SDLC procedures
  • Maintain system configuration, upgrades, data changes and sanctions to enable effective system processing
  • Develop and maintain ICT functionality in order to meet business requirements and support project initiatives
  • Complete and follow up change requests for enhancements to ICT system functionality
  • Document recommended changes for review and sign off as required
  • Ensure effective and timely communication and reporting of ICT services issues to the department and management team
  • Provide specialist ICT user support and subject matter expertise on data integration to key stakeholders as required
  • Train and assist staff with system issues and troubleshoot day-to-day problems when required
  • Use initiative and investigate where/when upgrades are required and liaise with relevant business areas
  • Liaise with technology services on upgrades and changes when required
  • Ensure changes to the system are tested and authorised
  • Provide onsite support, implementation and maintenance of ICT systems after hours and on non-national public holidays when required
  1. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and provide technical advice on data integration.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with service providers, clients, and other business units
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop briefs for external suppliers as required
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that all development and administration meet the needs of our clients and of the business
  • Provide timely and quality support to business as required
  1. Assist the documentation, review, and improvement of data integration administration and management processes and practices for continuous improvement
  • Regularly review systems, processes, and procedures for continuous improvement and to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all system development and integration administration processes and procedures are documented and maintained to meet regulatory and legislative compliance
  • Work with the business unit to ensure consistency in process and procedure across the department
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging opportunities and trends in order to deliver best practice solutions

  • Champion efforts to improve business performance through enterprise integration solutions and capabilities.
  • Complete training and development programs required for the role and apply new skills to the role
  • Support change by assisting with projects and initiatives to build new skills

  1. Ensure the company meets its corporate risk, legal and regulatory obligations
  • Co-ordinate the process of engagement of external suppliers in accordance with business requirements
  • Provide guidance regarding data governance processes and structures.
  • Ensure work activity is delivered within risk tolerances, controls, procedures and limits established in policies and procedures and take into account the risk and authority limits before a decision is made.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and escalate to management when any issues arise
  • Ensure compliance, audit, business continuity and risk requirements are addressed within required timelines
  • Ensure compliance training and continuing professional development activities are up to date
Key Deliverables
  1. Ensure Percentage of system uptime versus downtime >95%
  2. Deliver system configuration, data integration changes and sanctions to enable system processing to meet business requirements
  3. Ensure system upgrades are tested as per schedule, approved and implemented within required deadlines
  4. Ensure that the number of defects at implementation ‘Go Live’ = <5%
  5. Liaise with the business on user application bugs/issues and resolve within agreed timelines
  6. Ensure system changes and development in accordance with legislative and statutory guidelines are met
 
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience Required
 
  • Tertiary Qualifications in IT or relevant business degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in data integration
  • Mulesoft (ESB) and understand different integration patterns in Mulesoft ESB
  • Strong experience writing Java/J2EE server-side implementation.
  • Web services (SOAP and REST)
  • XML, JSON, XSLT
  • Integration - at least 2 years on enterprise scale projects end to end.
  • Experience in Agile development methodology

  • CRM Dynamics APIs understanding and integration patterns
  • Worked on Mainframe/AS400 integration using Java/Mule/ESB

  • Working knowledge of ITIL and experience with SDLC methodology
